Too Busy to Blog...

ACOSVO Chief Executive Pat Armstrong started the year with the task of starting a leadership blog – hear how she got on with the ‘Wall of Death’ and look out for more third sector leadership blogs to follow throughout the year…

2015 ‘bring it on’ I thought as the year creaked to a start. Okay, what goals? Lose weight - tick (a little), get fit – tick (a tiny bit), survive a January without a gin and tonic - tick (wasn't as bad as I thought it would be), find some reflection time - FAIL, start blogging - FAIL - or did I?? After the seed was sown, I've worked up quite a few blog ideas, the problem is they never get out of my head and ‘on to paper’. So, on a 4 hour plane journey - there can be no excuses - I've made a start (see blog idea no. 4!). Can I make a blog out of the fact that I'm too busy to blog and can I use it as a way to reflect what leadership lessons the year has shown me so far? Here goes…

ACOSVO Shortlisted For Prestigious Investors in People Awards 2015

ACOSVO has been named as a leader in people management practice globally, having been shortlisted in the ‘Excellence in the Third Sector’ category in the second annual Investors in People Awards. 

The Awards, which received over 400 entries internationally, celebrates the best people management practices amongst Investors in People accredited businesses. Winners are announced at a spectacular awards ceremony and dinner at Her Majesty's Royal Palace and Fortress, the Tower of London, on 24th June 2015. Finalists represent the best of the best worldwide.

ACOSVO has been shortlisted for its particular achievements in increasing staff empowerment and adapting to change.

Pat Armstrong, Chief Executive ACOSVO said:
“ACOSVO is delighted to have been short-listed for this prestigious award.  It has been a team effort and we are proud that it recognises how we support and value our staff and our aim to promote an ethos of continuous improvement throughout the organisation.
