Andy Dey

Director of Operations & Development

Having previously flown fast-jets in the Royal Air Force, Andy joined ACOSVO in September 2012 as a volunteer, moving to a full-time role as Development Manager in December 2012. Following internal reorganisation, Andy became Operations and Development Manager in May 2013 with line manager responsibility for all Team ACOSVO.  Following a structure change in summer 2016 Andy’s line managerial responsibilities were streamlined so that he oversees the Finance and Office Manager, the Events and Communication Manager and the Engagement Manager.  In Dec 16 Andy’s job title was altered to Director of Operations and Development to reflect changing responsibilities within ACOSVO.  As Director of Operations he is responsible for the future planning and day-to-day operations, functions and performance of ACOSVO.  As Director of Development he has the lead for managing key relationships, developing and overseeing the ACOSVO programme of events and increasing business development opportunities to increase sustainability.

Andy is married to Sally, has 2 grown up children and 3 grandchildren. He enjoys anything sporting, starting each working day with a mile swim and running regularly at the weekend.  Desperately trying to find time to get his golf handicap down, he is enjoying his second career in the third sector living only a 5 minute walk from Thorn House in the New Town.
