Trustees Week Scotland 2020

2 to 6 November 2020

The future of governance

Trustees’ Week Scotland is going online!

Scotland’s Third Sector Governance Forum have planned a packed programme of events designed to inform, inspire, support and celebrate the work of Scotland’s trustees.  This year a record number of events running through the whole week will be brought right to your own door whether you are in Shetland or Stranraer.

Trustees and boards of Scotland’s charitable, social enterprise and wider third sector have never been under more pressure; their organisations required to deliver services under extraordinary circumstances, resources stretched to the limits, their very future in doubt, and trustees uncertain of their role in a crisis.

Check out and sign up for our range of free webinars, workshops, learning sessions and debates designed to support you in your role as a trustee.

Launching the week of events will be Edel Harris.  Chief Executive of Mencap, one of the UK’s best loved charities and Trustee of The Robertson Trust, Edel is uniquely placed to address the theme of the week - The Future of Governance.

Other events include webinars on trustees as employers, alliances and mergers, diversity and inclusion, to caption the final session regulation and resources, online workshops on learning through change and developing an enterprising mindset, and just to get you thinking - The Governance Debate – “Face facts, it’s the chief officer who has leadership power and control, not the trustees”.

The Forum is also delighted to launch a new report with the support of The Robertson Trust, mapping governance training and support available across Scotland.  So if you want to discuss issues, get information, guidance and support, and not just at Trustees’ Week, then sign up here.
