Thank you to everyone who completed our recent biennial Member Survey. As an organisation that prides itself on being ‘member led’ the Member Survey is extremely important for us to gauge how to best position ourselves in order to be of most benefit to you, our members.

Do you have a pressing leadership issue you want to discuss with your peer network?

ACOSVO are delighted to announce we are streamlining our processess and moving over to a new CRM systmem! We will be migrating away from our venerable ACCESS database (labour intensive/not joined up/only accessible by one person at a time etc etc) to a state of the art, customised system.

While most of this change will, we hope, be undetectable to you as members it will significantly enhance the way Team ACOSVO are able to interact with you and provide an even better service.

Patricia Armstrong, Chief Executive of the Association of Chief Officers of Scottish Voluntary Organisations (ACOSVO) has been presented with her OBE today at Holyrood Palace. The Honour has been awarded for her services to Voluntary Organisations.

A highly respected figure and leader in the sector, Pat has been recognised for her dedication to inspiring leadership across Scotland’s voluntary sectors and beyond.

As third sector leaders we all want to make a difference in this world but does that mean we sometimes have to be a bit rebellious, and how do we balance this yet ensure we keep our trusted reputation?

We would like to extend a warm welcome to two new members of staff joining Team ACOSVO.

Daryl Louden joins us as part of the Community Job Scotland scheme, as Project and Administration Assistant. Daryl will be assisting with events and marketing and undertaking administrative duties, helping out the whole team. When not at work Daryl enjoys playing golf, travelling, and socialising with friends. In addition he is a big fan of TV quiz programmes and has appeared on the quiz show Pointless.

Exciting opportunity! Community Jobs Scotland are currently recruiting for a new person to support ACOSVO across Projects, Events, Engagements and the Office teams.

Excited to announce that ACOSVO Chief Executive, Pat Armstrong has signed up to the Active Leadership Cohort, with EMMS International, to cycle Nepal in November 2018.
