Lasting Leadership Masterclass Programme - Blended Learning & Free Guide

We are delighted to say that our Lasting Leadership masterclass programme with Wren & Greyhound will still go ahead on the scheduled dates.  We have adapted our delivery format and the first two masterclass sessions will now take place online.

To support the sector during these challenging times ACOSVO and Wren & Greyhound are offering the first two online masterclasses free of charge.  But rest assured they will be of the usual high quality and will continue to take an interactive and participatory approach to delivery!   By using an e-learning platform, participants will achieve the learning outcomes and connect with colleagues and share ideas and learning.

Lasting Leadership Guide

Sustainable leadership, like organisational sustainability, is challenging and complex. Wren & Greyhound’s new Lasting Leadership guide at (launched at The Gathering 2020 in February) has been developed to help organisations explore and take action on leadership sustainability.  The Guide is completely free to download - get your copy here

It identifies key leadership sustainability challenges and principles and introduces four interlinked capabilities that combine to support the development of sustainable leadership capacity in non-profit organisations:

  • Succession planning.  Developing capacity, contingency planning, and knowledge management processes.
  • Lateral leadership. Developing leadership in every corner of your organisation.  Devolved working, decision-making and involving people at every level.
  • Attracting the next generation of leaders. Making organisations and the sector attractive for future leaders, whether young leaders or people new to the sector.
  • Leadership as an equality issue. Proactively encouraging and supporting leadership equality and diversity.

The Lasting Difference e-learning course – starts on 4th May!

After successful pilots last year, the next Lasting Difference e-learning programme starts on 4th May. The Introduction to Organisational Sustainability focuses on the sustainability and survival challenges featured in The Lasting Difference. It’s the perfect chance to reflect on your own organisation and share practice with others. The six-hour comprehensive course covers:

  • Managing capacity – demand, resources, attention and focus
  • Understanding revenue and managing costs
  • Spotting and selecting the right opportunities (funding, partnerships, referrals etc.)
  • Pursuing sustainability through development and change, not the status quo.

In response to the Coronavirus crisis, more short interactive webinars have been added to the programme. In these, The Lasting Difference team will work through core course concepts with participants, addressing real-life questions and challenges and sharing practice in a supportive setting.

The course is available to ACOSVO members for a reduced rate of £80 (usually £100), making it more accessible when it is needed most. Contact wren@wrenandgreyhound.co.uk and quote ACOSVO1 when booking.
