Join our Team! We are looking for a Business Support Assistant

As part of the Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) programme, we are looking for an individual who is efficient, comfortable being a member of a small team and has the ability to multi-task and manage a range of administrative functions.

Providing administrative and strategic support across the organisation, this new post will play an important part in helping us support, develop and inspire voluntary sector leaders, whilst building ACOSVO capacity and widening our reach within the sector and cross sector in Scotland.
This is a Community Jobs Scotland (CJS) opportunity. Community Jobs Scotland is an employability programme delivered by SCVO which works with voluntary sector employers to create job opportunities for unemployed people aged 16 to 29.
The ideal candidate will be resourceful, a problem solver, well organised and comfortable working on a number of projects in parallel. It is likely that the successful candidate will have contact with many different team members at all levels so this is a great opportunity to see how a small business operates. 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide general office administration support across the organisation including:
  • Supporting HR functions – maintaining staff handbooks, maintaining records
  • Assisting with office management – maintaining a well-run work environment, including IT, cyber security, H&S, office stock
  • Supporting the executive assistant role – organising meetings, minute taking - acting as secretariat for meetings
  • Supporting office communications – dealing with emails and correspondence, internal papers and reports
  • Information and research – compiling data for funding applications and reports; respond to questions and requests for information
  • Assist with maintenance and streamlining of internal processes – Airtable, SharePoint
  • Manage workflow to ensure deadlines are met and work is completed efficiently and to the highest standard
  • Work as a member of Team ACOSVO in a way that embodies our core values and delivers our Strategic Objectives
  • Deliver a high-quality service to ACOSVO members, stakeholders and partners
  • Undertaking tasks within the job holder’s skills and abilities may be requested

Training and support will be given on company specific processes so previous specific experience is not essential.
ACOSVO has considerable experience working with CJS employees. The on-the-job training and skills gained in this role will improve confidence, knowledge and communication skills.
