After working in the sector for a number of years in a variety of fields, Pat joined ACOSVO in 2003 and has made  significant contribution towards its success. ACOSVO Chair, Meg Wright said:

“Pat’s long-term leadership of ACOSVO has strengthened the leadership across Scotland’s voluntary sector by shining a spotlight on the importance of peer support, good practice sharing and leadership development.

“The creation of the Leadership Exchange Programme is helping to inspire leaders from across the third and public sectors to share good practice, find a common language and have an opportunity to “walk in each other’s shoes.

“Pat’s dedication to further the cause of supporting women in leadership roles empowers women leaders through networks of peer support.

“Pat’s involvement in founding and chairing the Third Sector Governance Forum has highlighted the importance of supporting good governance and seen Trustee week in Scotland develop and grow into a thriving celebration of the voluntary roles that trustees undertake across the country.”

On receiving the honour, Pat Armstrong OBE said:

“I am humbled but delighted to receive this honour amongst so many amazing, inspiring third sector leaders who I work with on a daily basis. It’s an honour very much shared.
