This Masterclass pulls together the key themes and issues shaping charity governance at this time. It examines the dilemmas and dynamics such as relationship between

• Chief Officer, Senior Management and the Board,
• The Board and the rest of the organisation.

It includes discussion about

• having an independent chair,
• what if the board members are paid 
• what if the Chief Officer is a board member?

The Masterclass both reflects on concerns about liability and control for governance and ways of managing  difficulties and dilemmas.

By the end of the Masterclass you will have:

• Explored what social research and the practitioner literature have to offer those wanting to both understand the issues they face and strengthen and develop governance;
• Discussed issues with other ACOSVO members or leaders in the sector
• Heard ideas and approaches to common predicaments;
