Leading People in Challenging Times
Effective Leadership is not different in challenging times... it is simply more important
Thursday 6th September, 10.00 – 2.00 pm (includes lunch)
at Royal Bank of Scotland, 35 St. Andrew Square Edinburgh
This Masterclass explores how in these challenging times Chief Officers can have in place robust support for paid staff and volunteers. Investigating what social research have to say about the realities of sustaining people’s commitment and resilience when we can no longer assume staff and volunteers will continue to do more-for-less kept going by ‘intrinsic motivation’. The Masterclass also goes into the more difficult side of people management, i.e. Chief Officers being able to handle negative behaviour particularly when staff become occasionally disillusioned with the way things are.
