Governance and user-centred organisations
The overarching theme for the 2011 Masterclasses is Governance. These Masterclasses are specially designed for Chief Officers.
By focusing on up to date research, and writing on leadership and governance the Masterclasses can help your organisation achieve the robust governance essential in these difficult times. All Masterclasses are led by Shirley Otto who is widely recognised as an authority on leadership and governance.
The purpose of the Masterclasses are:
This Masterclass explores the governance challenges for charities of user- centred and user-run organisations and of the demands on boards
Drawing on social policy documents, government guidelines and research reports this ‘masterclass’ will examine the dilemmas associated with beneficiaries as trustees, discuss common predicaments and practice and reflect on the effect of policies promoting mutualism and the marketplace.
